if you don’t mind sharing how much you got those rims? They sell around $1600 here in Los Angeles area on offer up.
235/40/19 and 285/35/19 but if I could do it again I would go with 235/35/19 in the front, because of the rub. Stock x50 suspension, idk if it’s little lower than normal. Rear shocks need replacement 😂 blown
on Fb marketplace won’t believe it, $850 with other 4 tires, was a steal, and in great condition. But yeah in Miami area, can’t even find these, was about to resort to EBay, and buy 1 wheel at the time.
So I’m using your guide. I just picked up a set of these 21+ F sport wheels.
Front 19x8.5 +45, Rear 19x9.5 +60
Oem 18” is (18 x 8.0 +45 Fronts & 18 x 8.5 +50 Rears)
I have a 2008 IS350. I will be lowered on H&R springs soon (F 1.4”, R 1.3”)
I ordered tires in 235/35/19 Frontand 265/35/19 Rear.
I pray it will clear with no issues. I also intend to put 15mm spacers front and rear with built in studs. Wish me luck! Anything else I should know?
I am in the same boat. I bought IS500 wheels to throw on my 2019 IS300. Some have used M12 lugs without issue so worst case scenario that is what I am going to do as well. Installing M14 studs into our hubs isn't really a viable option and swapping hubs is a crazy undertaking for wheels.
With the center bore being 60.1mm on both wheels, you don't have to worry about using the lugnuts to center the wheel so really, an M12 lugnut will serve the purpost although I probably wouldn't track my car like that.
There are a couple of different options. There are conical (60 degree taper) to ball seat adapters that you can buy. The two I have found, I bought to test.

Basically this allows you to use almost any aftermarket wheel lugnut which is an added bonus.
I ordered Steel Ballseat Open ended lug nuts for M12.150. I’m gonna apply loctite and over torque these by about 5lbs. Yeah this will be just a cruiser, no way will I be tracking with these on. I plan on 15mm spacer up front and 20mm rear. I’ll report back at end of February once it’s all fitted.
I wanted to come back and report some testing I did with the IS500 wheels on my IS300. This would be applicable to the 2IS as well so you might find it useful.
The TLDR version is, so far the BBS IS500 wheels on my IS300 are working great, no lug nut issues at all, but the ONLY safe and viable option IMHO is to use conical (60 degree) aftermarket wheel lugnuts, with Ti64 conical to R14 adapter rings that you can get here:

so are you currently mounting those wheels with standard ball seat lugs? Or are you using tuner conical lugs in conjunction with those m14 sized conical to ballseat adapter?
Do those BBS wheels use conical or ball seat from the factory?
I believe the 2021+ F sport wheels I’m trying to mount used ball seat lug bolts so I figured using m12x1.5 ball seat extended lug nuts will be sufficient. I do have standard tuner conical lug nuts and can buy those m14 adapters to use that set up instead if it’s the safer option..
The BBS (and all factory 21+ wheels) use an R14 ball seat. The adapter rings take a tuner lug seat (60 degree conical) and gives it an R14 ball seat.
In short, it’s an M12x1.5 tuner lug nut with an M14 ball seat.
gotcha. Well gonna try my M12.1.5 tuner lug with an M12 ball seat first. If that doesn’t work well then I’ll switch to conicals with the m14 ballseat adapter. Thanks for clarifying. Those adapters you listed are quite spendy 🤑
