yes thst was a important factor, I was about to order titanium open ended lugs from eBay m12 with m14 seat. However I took a gamble went to advance auto parts. Found these, work perfect. These come in sets of 5 think so i bought 4 at like $10 each, $40 total for lugs. Perfect fit, bulge part makes it m14, 60 degree, no issues since I installed. Install with confidence.

Do those BBS wheels use conical or ball seat from the factory?

I believe the 2021+ F sport wheels I’m trying to mount used ball seat lug bolts so I figured using m12x1.5 ball seat extended lug nuts will be sufficient. I do have standard tuner conical lug nuts and can buy those m14 adapters to use that set up instead if it’s the safer option..

im no expert I don’t think it’s necessary, I looked at the bulge nut and the whole surface area 60 degree part matches perfect full contact on the wheel, plus its hubcentric, basically the nuts just tighten the wheel to hub, I’ve seen people in other post arguing against it, but it’s a simple concept.

those lugs although the right size for the wheel, but are conical ? Don’t you want ball seats for those?

Those will not work without the adapters I posted above.

DO NOT MOUNT CONICAL LUGNUTS TO THESE WHEELS.

yikes, that’s what I figured. Better off Just running 12x 1.50 ball seats or conical with m14 adapter rings ideally.

Bulge m12 is basically a m14 fitment, seems just right.

You are incorrect. There is no "bulge m12". M12 is M12 lol. And conical/acorn is the same seat. You are using an entirely incorrect lug nut to mount a wheel. It may work, it eventually may not. It is absolutely unsafe and incorrect. You are using tuner lug nuts to mount an OEM wheel. Google "OEM wheel and aftermarket tuner lugs" and see the disastrous results for yourself. You can see the different mounting faces in the picture below. It's your car, your money and your risk, but they are 100% incorrect.

Glad you're taking the time to explain this to others!

I have a feeling people are still going to mount these wheels incorrectly

Here is a G37 driver that learned the hard way. If this had happened at speed, it could have been deadly, literally. The guy used tuner (conical/acorn) lug nuts on his OEM wheels, and you can see how they cut through the wheel eventually. It doesn't matter if the wheels are hub centric and the lugs are only there to tighten the wheel, that is an incredibly important component here. These lug nuts need to have the proper face, to properly secure the wheel. He used an M12 tuner lug on an M12 OEM wheel, using an M12 tuner lug (our Lexus spec) on an M14 wheel (new Lexus spec) would be even WORSE. Just don't risk it. To put a finer point on it, if you lose a wheel and crash into somebody, and kill them, if they find out that you willingly and knowingly installed the wrong lug nuts which caused the accident, you WILL be held liable. Is it worth killing somebody?

Run the right lug nuts for your wheel...

Ah ok,

After reading the whole thread. I was under the impression the 21 MY were still using the M12 studs on OEM hubs as well.

Since the wheels look similar to the 4th generation GS Fsport 19" wheels.

Which are 19x8 F 45mm offset, and 19x9 R 60mm offset hub bore 60.1 mm.
