Hi there! I need some help. My 2008 IS250 has 162,000 miles on it. It just recently started to rattle when the engine first starts up while it’s cold for probably about 30 minutes once it’s warmed up, it stops rattling but I’m concerned of what it could be. Prior to taking it in. I wanted to see if anyone had had any experience with something similar. Please see attached video, appreciate you so much!

 

It could be many things from serious or not so serious like something loose or a whining issue like egr, leaky gasket, bad spark plugs or engine related. Either case I'd get it checked out or the very least plug in a obd reader to see what auto codes come up.

Make a video with the hood open, and try to point the camera where the noise is loudest.

 

My first couple of guesses would be the water pump or and idler pulley's bearing going out. Is the sound loudest at the front where you recorded it?
