FWIW if you have to do it again like to install an OS-Giken LSD (game changer for handling), lower the diff, pop an axle (I grabbed it with a bearing puller), turn the diff as far as it goes to clear the splines and zero suspension disassembly. None. Just two braces and the exhaust.
Out in 45 minutes.
Haha I wouldn’t do it again. At this point this car stays forever. Too much sweat equity into her! But I am sure the limited slip is taking off aggressively. The funny part, on 285 30 20, legit the rear end squats then levels out when full throttle take off. And so far it is quicker than a new IS350 by a good amount just from how it sits.

And if I told you, you could increase your corner acceleration grip by 40%, what would you think? That TCD/LSD is magical in what it does in the corners. It really changes the cars performance as the single most critical update! It definitely takes the platform to a new level fast.
You sound like a DIY but have few posts so idk... if you have 2 to $3k burning a hole in your pocket, order one for the GS. Straight away hole shot traction climbs dramaticly. You know, if you're into that or burnouts! lol
@MikeFig82 what do you guys think of the steering EPS ECU in the GS? Have either of you thought about trying IS-F EPS? I'm guessing the GS has a longer wheel base?

While you posted about the EPS ECU. I had a GS-F ECU on the way. Yes the Fsport is OK, but too intrusive with the nannies at the slightest slippage it cuts power. The IS-F on my IS250 AWD is a thing of beauty.
I revcived the GS-F EPS ECU last night. Tried installing it this morning before work, and it's a no go. I'm not sure if I need calibration. Since it wasn't required on my previous EPS. Even on my old GS400 it didn't require calibration on a used ECU. I tried 3 times to make sure my connections were good . Then put the original one back in and no errors on startup each time.
Another is I could've aquired a dud ECU. It looks to have battery corrosion. Probably due to maybe the donor took a nasty hit. The junk yard claims it's from a GS-F under 20k miles. Then again there is nothing indicating corrosion on the connector pins. I also checked their other parts off the car. The parts are in mint condition.
Well on this past Thanksgiving week. I got some minor mods done exterior wise. See below for references .
Gville350, interested if you;ve since installed either of the following SuperPro kits below;
FIGS Superpro HIGH HP REAR DIFF COMPLETE MOUNT KIT # G1201 http://https://shopfigs.com/v...-3GS-ISF/G1201
The pinion mounts are a 2 pc design in 93 durometer, the rear mounts feature a center mounted plate with SS spacers and extra hardware internal to the Polyurethane for added support. These are intended for drag and road racing.
Set includes 2-Bushing sets (6 total) to replace both bushing locations on the rear carrier. These are complete replacements including:
- 2 ear mounts (pinion) with rest washers for the subframe interface.
- 2 rear diff mounts with extra hardware.
- complete replacements so OE cups will need to be completely removed.
These bushings simplify the installation process by adding 2 simple halves for the pinion vs our modular mount that some shops had difficulty installing or orienting the snubber bushing. We still offer the modular bushing in another listing.
OR
FIGS Superpro kit G1021 http://https://shopfigs.com/v5/G1021 Product Features:
- Steel Plate center provides additional support to a bonded polyurethane outer bushing.
- Castellated outer bushing shape to provide voiding and eliminate unwanted NVH.
- No outer shell for ease of fitment, can press in literally by hand after greased.
- No shock to the drivetrain like solid bushings and with better performance. Torque is progressively damped prolonging ring gear life.
- Perfectly matched to all other SuperPro bushings for your Lexus or Toyota
We feel upgraded pinion mounts are required when upgrading these bushings, therefore we will only sell them paired with those bushings. This is because we have had many issues when customers upgrade the rear mounts alone. There is too much torque translated to the rear mounts alone when the factory rubber bushings are used, this can cause driveshaft bind and bushing destruction. If you are trying to upgrade from a previous purchase, contact us for order.
