Default Door lock buzzer mystery

Hello all, hoping someone technical can help me out with an annoyance I’ve been trying to fix for some time now.

TLDR; Thought I confirmed old door lock buzzer is faulty, bought new one still is working. What’s going wrong?

The door locked buzzer, the sound the car makes to confirm the doors are locked has not worked on my vehicle since I bought it used.

I went to a mechanic who tested the buzzer directly with tech stream. he confirmed any option relating to the buzzer was on. When he tested its function, still no response from the buzzer so he told me most likely issue would be the buzzer itself. I pulled the buzzer out from under my front left wheels fender well and put a multi meter (apologies I am not electrically literate) on both ends of the resistor inside. It seemed to vibrate and I assumed it was the issue.

I bought a new one on eBay, looks identical inside and out, with the same part number. I also sprayed some CRC QD Cleaner on the new buzzers port and the plug from the car. I removed the power from my battery before spraying as well, and plugged it back in, put battery power back and started the car. When I tried locking the doors still no luck. Only thing I can think is going back to the mechanic and testing it with tech stream directly with the new buzzer, I just don’t want to waste his time or goodwill if it’s something else.

If anyone has any ideas if the buzzer has a fuse (which I haven’t been able to figure out on TIS), or could explain where and what I’d be testing for next it would really be appreciated.

Part number of the buzzer for reference.

Where the wire connects into below the ABS module.

2012 Lexus IS350 RWD. Door lock Peizo Buzzer connector pulled from the rear of the drivers side front fender well for ease of testing.

below is a photo of the plug that usually sits on top of the fender well, I have tied it up top so I can work on it easier.

Have you used the multi-meter on the wiring of the connector, once the buzzer was connected, to ensure the wires are sending adequate signal?

How would I go about doing this? Should I just check for a signal between the connector? Or do I have to actually strip my wires?

Shove the multimeter probes into the connector where the wires lead into the connector, of course only after the buzzer is connected. Monitor the meter as you open/close the door or whatever functions would normally activate the buzzer.
