Default Accelerate too hard & car stalls out

Hey guys

Early this morning my car stalled out while getting on the freeway, power didn't shut off but engine lost power & died. Pulled over and it just cranked but no start. Turned off & started & it revv'd high then shut off, tried again & started normally. I accelerated hard cuz i was on side of freeway and it died again. Pulled over & it restarted fine & drove home 45 min on freeway with no hard pulls & it ran fine. Got close to home & did a hard pull and shut off again so i think i narrowed it down to that causing it.

I recently have had to park on a downhill at work & will start it on break occasionally to get heat, I'm thinking maybe the fuel filter might have gotten something in it from that? Or is my fuel pump going out? I'm hoping to get this sorted by Monday to get to work so any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

This could be water in the tank. Get some fuel treatment in there that removes moisture. Of course when water comes in, 99% so does some other debris. You may need to replace the fuel pump sock. Do a search on here for MikeFig82 fuel filter replacement.

Also, get the codes read, surely it has something to tell us.

Hey so i checked and it didn't throw and codes? All i have is my P0420 that I've had for awhile from my exhaust... I've been able to drive it and it's been fine but it's only when i like accelerate really really hard, like full throttle from a stop but even just accelerating hard doesn't cause it to die. Thank you for your help and w.e other help you offer, in advance. I'm gonna try to get fuel treatment now but it's under 1/4 and runs perfectly fine, no loss of power so I'm thinking might not be water cuz i feel like with that little fuel it'd be running rough? IDK tho I'll see
