Default AWD IS350/250 catalytic/mid pipe the same?

2011 is350 AWD
exhaust i had in mind

I see a bunch of options for the is250 AWD catalytic/mid pipe... but not much at all for the is350 AWD.

Is there any difference between these? I see SOME claiming to fit both 350/250 (awd) but theyre usually cheap off brand.

The exhaust I linked is available local to me and manufactured by magnaflow, but claims to only fit the IS250 AWD. Ive also owned an AWD 250 in the past and the exhaust bends and fitment look identical, but ive never seen both side by side to confirm.

catalytic mid pipe section is known to rot out if you live in a salty state.. hoping someone can help with this info..

From what I can tell online from parts diagrams. The ISx50 midpipe parts don't have the same part numbers.

IS250 Midpipe Versions:

IS350 Versions

Where I've noticed there could be some differences is in the flange where they attach at the exhaust manifolds. The inlet diameters could be different in size from 250/350.

You can always customize too. If the midpipe flanges are different.

when you say customize.. do you mean weld on a larger flange(s)? wondering where I would source the correct flange needed?

Assuming you're talking about the 2 flanges that come down from the headers on both sides? Or are you talking about the 1 flange that meets up with the axle back exhaust? (after the resonator)

The flanges on your OEM midpipe to be welded into the new one. Since it's only designed for the IS250. Most aftermarket midpipes run 2.25" -2.50".

I know for a fact that the gaskets for that location are different from 250 to 350. Being that the diameter is larger on the 350 gasket.

Hence I mentioned that the flange could be different. Most likely the flange will be slightly smaller on the stock 250 mid pipe.

Side note it probably will fit since most likely the after market flange will be flat, and they provide thier own gaskets.

Another note realize the AWD midpipes have a bend for the front differential.

Yes that's what my concern would be since the midpipe you linked. It has the same profile as the OEM midpipe.

The exhaust manifold pipes are larger at the flange mates. On the IS350 the pipe would definitely be a larger diameter.

See photos below. Hopefully no modifications need to be done, and just use a new gasket designed for the IS350 manifold pipes.

*** UPDATE: mid pipes/resonator fit perfectly with no modification needed. Pipe diameters might even be a little bigger than the OEM mid pipes on my is350 awd.. no complaints here.
