06 is350 parking brake issue while changing rotors
Doing the rear rotors on a 2006 is350. Popped the rotor off and the both top and bottom parking brake hardware with the pin/spring/pin locking part came apart. Cannot for thr life of me figure out how to hold the pin in place from moving (especially the top one), compress the spring, then put the lock ring on and turn. Cannot find any videos or posts online with this set up and how to do it. I'm about the just remove the entire parking brake hardware and call it a day. Dead in the water now on a brake job that was supposed to take 2 hours max.
Doing that will be extremely difficult. There are tools for it but your biggest limit is the cramped spaces. I'd suggest finding the rear of the pin and how to hold it with your hand, then put the spring over the pin. Get yourself a pin tool which in theory will fit through that hole in the hub or you can just use pliers for the fastener. I can't tell from the picture the access you have.
