Default HELP! Can't get headlight assembly harness off

Trying to replace my headlight assemblies can't for the life of me remove this headlight harness. It feels like it's fused. I pushed really hard on the plastic lever and it's not detaching. Any advice? I'm afraid to break the harness.
Edit: to clarify, I was able to get the push lever partially off as you can see in the photo, but I'm not able to get it into the final open position

i think the connection is suppose to move back in as you close the lever, does it move?

pull the lever towards you, and wiggle the connector up and down

Well, finally got it. Took some more bolts off of the bottom of the bumper and pushed hard, almost towards the body of the connector rather than in the direction of rotation of the lever. Finally heard a click that sounded almost like I broke something. These connectors are pretty tough, so for anyone having trouble with these, I think you're good to push hard. Def recommend adding some grease or vaseline before reconnecting.

For the other side, the connector didn't even make a noise or feel like it really disengaged. I tried moving it back and then pulled on the nice finger grasping points on the connector and it came loose.
