After scouring the forums for a multitude of problems I figured I should compile everything here for the experts to see.
I purchased a 75,000 mile 2006 is250 the other day.
The PO told me that it sometimes throws a 2757 code, I have yet to see it.
What I have seen is my tpms light is stuck on and he seems to think that it's due to the aftermarket stereo. After asking a few people the consensus is that the stereo should have nothing to do with the tpms and it's probably something else.
Then today I was driving around town and the VSC light came on as well as the check engine light. When i plugged in my obd reader I got 0 codes, stored or pending.
My questions are
1. Why am I not seeing any codes on the reader when the check engine light is on?
2. PO says he changed the SLT but not the SLU solenoid on the trans and that may be why it still sometimes gets the 2758 code (again I have yet to see it)
3. Why would my tpms light be on? Is it possible that it's the stereo or does it have to be something else?
I'm pretty mechanically inclined, I changed the head gasket on my 97 4runner but Toyotas are a little simpler than their Lexus brethren. I have never dealt with this many sensors and computers. Any help is greatly appreciated and if you live In the Phoenix area I will drive to you and bring you whatever cold delicious alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages of your choice if you help me get this thing running right.
