Hello everyone, I have a 2006 lexus is350 and I replaced the alternator yesterday and the car was working fine until earlier this afternoon. I go in the car and I get nothing, no power no red light on security just a red light for doors open any ideas about this? Any help would be great thank you

Firstly... use the search function in the forums and see if your symptoms have already been discussed. I'm not trying to be an a$$ but there are literally decades of informational gems here on CL.

This is considered the expected etiquette here. You have a very common issue that a simple search would give you fantastic guidance. Since you are new here I'll throw you a lifeline but with a quiz:

Why did you replace the alternator?
(Seriously... this is key because you opened with that)

What guidance did you use to remove and replace the alternator and did you test the cables and connections?
How old is the battery and when was the last time it was tested?
(if the answer above is "no" take the battery out of the car and head to your favorite parts shop and have it tested)
Are the battery terminals clean and the same for the battery cable connections for power and ground both to the starter, the chassis ground and the engine ground?
Is the new alternator OEM/Denso or some parts shop replacement?
(if the answer above is *no* take the alternator back to the parts shop and have it tested)
(if the answer above is *yes* take it back anyways and have the parts shop test it. Remember NEW means "Never Ever Worked" [Thanks Eric O from South Main Auto])
