Differences with US Model IS

It's rather pointless to compare prices of a car in different countries, currencies exchange rates fluctuate all the time but the numerical prices of the car in the respective countries stay the same. Because of the the dramatic depreciation of the U.S.$ against most major currencies in the past couple years, prices of cars in most foreign countries look inflated compared to the U.S.
Especially in Europe, Japanese import cars are always more expensive compared to the U.S. anyway there because of protectionist policies/tariffs. It's not a level playing field as in here where both Japanese & European cars are imports competing against each other.

Like I said those are all in USD converted from Swiss Francs at yesterday's exchange rate. Those are the sticker prices in Switzerland. That's why I put in the RAV4 price so you can see how much cheaper cars are in the US in USD. The price in Swiss Francs has barely changed over the years. That same RAV4 3 years ago was only 19K USD because of the much better exchange rate back then.
