Seems quite different from the quotes here.

I guess it'll still be all rumors and speculations until the final PR is out.

That info automatically lost credibility. It was sourced from Lextasy.

I thought that the prices sounded too low.

Is Lextasy a crappy forum? I never heard of them before today.

The forum, the company, and the man behind the company. Banned both from ClubLexus and IS300.net.

I hate how they don't let you choose the options. I heard the Mark Levinson audio system alone costs about 4Grand and its not that much better then the stock.

It is undoubtably the best Lexus sound system yet. Pretty awesome is DTS Surround Sound with a DVD like Lord of the Rings and three picture settings. Normal, Wide and Ultra Wide. It has 11 discrete amps totalling 330 Watts of low distortion sound with all digital signal path. The 4 thousand includes the GPS Navigation and a rear back up camera. Got any of these in your current ride? Let's be real....

Heard from someone and actually experiencing it first hand are two different things. What you heard is incorrect. Welcome to CL btw.

That's true about the sound, it is truely beautiful. It kicks Bose's *** imho. But if you have the cash to own a Lexus, then you DEFINITELY own a DVD player. I don't get that.

The nature of a tight and well-insulated car cabin vs. the open space of a living room makes the listening experience in a car that much more enjoyable than in a living room, given the same budget. It is simply much easier to attain a certain sound reproduction level in a car than in a living room.

first of all welcome to clublexus.

i agree that the lack of choices on options for the is350 does give less flexibility of the car. but imho, the is350 being the top model setup for the IS series, probably lexus want to limit the number of is350 running on the roads compared to the is250. so making the car as expensive as possible (premium) for the best out there sorta make sense. personally if i get a lexus i tend to get it fully loaded anyway.

and to your comments, i would beg to differ. i wonder where you HEARD that the ML isn't much better than stock? if you heard it from someone else and not by hearing it yourself at the dealership with the right cd or audio tracks, you are making one pretty false statement.

mark levinson is one of the best audio company out there, and they make good stuff, paring up with lexus they push the car audio setup to the next level, much better than the previous nakamichi. and if you look across all car manufacturers, it's very safe to say that no one else can even come close to the mark levinson, from the car insulation to amplifier setup to speakers, to tuning. bose in acuras, infiniti, and some other brands, they are joke. the upgraded system on bmw, it's better but far from good.

and between the stock system and the ml system on lexus it's also by a far stretch too. i have pioneer stock system on my gs4, it's nice, i thought it's pretty good. but as soon as i heard the ml setup on the gs i was completely blown away. the clarity, the base, the sound, it's just amazing. now i have the sc430 with the ml, and gonig back and forth between the sc430 and the gs400, i can honestly say, the system in the gs4 is nothing surprising.

and back to the price. i would highly suggest you do some research before you posting, coz' posting wrong information would confuse people. 4k? where did you get the 4k figure for JUST ml upgrade? i just did some research on lexus.com

ls430, 4k upgrade for ml AND dvd nav
gs300/430, 4k upgrade for ml AND dvd nav
es330, 2200 for nav, or 3100 for ml AND dvd nav
lx470, 1300 for the ml setup
gx470, 3k for the ml and dvd nav.

so from every angle, the ml setup seems to be around 1k to at most 2k setup for me. 4k for the ml upgrade? i don't think lexus is that stupid.

sorry if i come off pretty harsh, i don't mean that. i just don't like to see false information floating around, it confuses people and create conflicts
