2006 IS350 (fully loaded)
$ 42,475 - Automatic - E-shift - RWD

Add in the $600 destination charge, and it's $43,000. $7000 less than a fully loaded GS300.

The only thing that a fully loaded GS300 has over a fully loaded IS350 is extra room.

Actually, the IS350 will be even faster than a GS430, at least 0 to 60. Highway passing power will go to the GS430 though.

Not making me a believer. I know what that press release said. And it didnt say anything about an IS300 coming to the USA. We are gonna get the full details in 12 hours. Just go to sleep wake up and everything will be there at your disposal(probably except pricing, even though that seems pretty close).

This is almost like the CTS lineup with similar prices. The new 2.8L V6 CTS that no one buys, the mainline model with the 3.6L V6 and the CTS V. As rare as they might be all 3 can be had with a Aisin 6MT - maybe the same tranny guts as in the IS!!!

Nothing like last minute rumor mongering.

Default Why not an IS325i and an IS330i while we're at it?

Folks it's a little early for April Fools so don't get excited by the speculators. Eleven hours to go. Pricing will come at a later date. There will be an IS250 RWD, IS250 RWD 6 speed Manual, IS250 AWD and an IS350 RWD variant. OK? Later on we get a Coupe/Convertible.

Would this compete with the CTS line? I'd think that'd be more GS-oriented than the IS.

<-- Honestly doesn't know

if i were to guess, that IS350 price seems more like the base model price. that info is taken from an email. irregardless, it's all moot in some 11 hours.

my.is thread: http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=246166

From http://www.lexusport.com/

2006 IS250 (base model)
$ 27,585 - Manual - RWD
$ 28,955 - Automatic - E-Shift - RWD
$ 30,905 - Automatic - E-Shift - AWD

2006 IS300 (base model)
$ 32,925 - Automatic - E-shift - RWD
$ 34,875 - Automatic - E-shift - AWD

2006 IS350 (fully loaded)
$ 42,475 - Automatic - E-shift - RWD

notes: Transmission choices haven't been set in stone as the choices for each model change weekly. The IS350 will sell only in a fully loaded configuration. est. release date 2005.10.31
Hopefully that will be correct. I was hoping for a AWD 250 w/navi for about 34-35K...

I personally don't mind the horsepower. 200 is cool with me..

Hrmm, i'm sorry, but i'm not paying 40K for a entry level sedan. that is BS, it's just not worth 40k. That isn't considered an entry level sedan if it's too expensive. I'll get a GS before I pay 40k for a small sedan.

Compare Lexus to BMW. Acura is a niche brand.

Now that it's confirmed there'll be no new IS300 coming out in the near future, we can dismiss all the pricing info in this thread

yup. that was a 3-model IS300 scenario that isn't gonna happen. if i was to make a quick guess, i would say that the is250 will go up in price and the is350 will go down. i really think that a fully loaded is350 will hit 40k and a base price somewhere around 35k (compared with the 330's base price of ~37k for the 2005)
