Default MSRPs leaked

The IS350 comes only fully loaded. Sigh. Lexus and Acura are never gonna be able to fully compete with the Germans if they keep this all-or-nothing mentality.

The good news is that there's gonna be (EDIT: could be) an IS300 after all.

my.is thread: http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=246166

From http://www.lexusport.com/

2006 IS250 (base model)
$ 27,585 - Manual - RWD
$ 28,955 - Automatic - E-Shift - RWD
$ 30,905 - Automatic - E-Shift - AWD

2006 IS300 (base model)
$ 32,925 - Automatic - E-shift - RWD
$ 34,875 - Automatic - E-shift - AWD

2006 IS350 (fully loaded)
$ 42,475 - Automatic - E-shift - RWD

notes: Transmission choices haven't been set in stone as the choices for each model change weekly. The IS350 will sell only in a fully loaded configuration. est. release date 2005.10.31

If there indeed is an IS300, I'd rather they bring the IS300 over here.

Hmm according to lexusport.com, "The North American market may not see both the IS250 and IS300 and only one model will (most likely) be picked."

Sounds like this is still preliminary information.

But if it is the IS300 that gets picked, there are gonna be only 3 models for the IS introduction according the list above (no manual?), which contradicts the recent PR from Lexus.

It also says:

"Transmission choices haven't been set in stone as the choices for each model change weekly."

So I'd presume that if the IS300 does get picked, it'll get a manual. Although knowing Lexus, I wouldn't be THAT surprised if they gave up the manual altogether.

The info is not authentic. My sources are always down the wire from Lexus.

i would love to see IS300 instead of weak IS250. IS300 would be sweet. please give us IS300.

If this is so, I might be able to negotiate a couple thousand off one of the dealers, so I could get it for 25,000...that would be awesome

Maybe we'll see a BMW-type SMT or an Audi-type DSG. Keep your fingers crossed. The biggest problems with SMT's to date have been the harsh shifting but if anybody can build a refined one, Lexus can.

I doubt they'll say the price there.

They didn't announce the RX 400h prices until 2 months before it came out, and same with the GS.

very interesting, the prices in fact look pretty reasonable to me. i don't think we will see the 300 here though, 250 and 350 make more sense, although i wish there would be 300 here as well

42k fully loaded, that's very big move by lexus, going right head to head with the 330
