Lexus Introduces Next Generation IS Luxury Sport Sedan

The decision for me is between the IS and the 3. However, I reallly would love to have AWD, and if there was an IS350 AWD, then it be a tough decision. Otherwise, it will likely be off to the BMW dealer for a 330xi in a year or two.
The new Pictures of the IS look real nice. I wasn't a fan of the front, but it's slowly growing on me. I still got to see it in person.
I do like how their is a resemblance between the IS and GS, as evident in the pics. Great move by Lexus.

There is a glitch around 2:49 of the video and WMP chokes on it but skipping about 20 seconds past that, the video continues to play just fine.

I basically just want the base car, not any of the options, none interest me that much...is $35K still a pipe dream?

I think it's going to be a nice car but no manual! I still feel it's a good attempt to take on the big dog. Toyota has all that money and they’re still faking. **** even the TL/G35 has a stick version. If the IS350 outperforms the g35 stick in the ¼ I’ll take one person in the local area to lunch. This IS(Lexus) has move more toward luxury while at the same time take an aim at bmw but to me it's just a reliable C class Mercedes. In my book it’s nothing wrong with that.
At first I didn't like the exterior but for some reason I’m starting to like the baby GS look.

Most IS 350s will be fully loaded

Lexus has made a good number of equipment optional to keep the base price of the IS350 more attainable. (Although whether or not one can really get a "base" car is another big question.)

It was a standard issue trim that most dealerships/regions never bothered to order since the leather packages were more feasible to order.

Guys, i'm still confused...
The IS250... sequential manual tranny.... is this an automated clutch system like BMW SMG or Ferrari F1 or is this a full blown traditional stick-shift??
And do you all think within a year or so they'd bring some sort of manual to the IS350? I still can't believe they are trying to go after the BMW 3-series with no manual tranny for the high performing model.

Sequential meaning sport shift auto tranny. I don't know the specifics to the new 6 spd tranny but it should be as smooth, if not more responsive like what's found in the new GS. This will be an optional transmission for the IS250 as the 6spd Manual is standard.

Basically the dealer will make the ~3% holdback (~$1K) plus the MSRP less Invoice (~$3K) price difference as a profit ($5K) without even having to hold it in their inventory or take any risk at all. Dealer is up $5K with zero work, and I'm .

Now come to think of why the IS350 isn't beating the new 330i in 0-60 times, it has to be that the 330i was tested with a manual transmission, while the IS350 has only an automatic. I'm sure with a manual transmission, if it ever happens, the IS350 will be able to shave off another 0.5 sec or so.
