OMG This pics are awesome, they showcase the car in a whole new light, at first I wasn't digging the taillights but now I kinda like them.
It appears the armrest in the middle moves, look at the one pic of the rear you can see it slightly moved to the rear. So it's a slider?
Will the instrument panel "float" at night? Like my SC400 display? I love how my SC400 instrument display appears to float or is dimentinal. I know the SC400 is electro-illumaniense I hope the new IS is the same. It's hard to tell from these daytime pics.
Excellent pics, thanks.

Noticed something today
At the NY Car show I noticed the IS has no sunroof. Also, none of the press photos show the IS with a sunroof. I find this rather odd, since it is almost impossible to get a Lexus vehicle without a sunroof, that they would showcase the IS without one. Do you guys think it will still be available with a sunroof, or are they looking to make the transition to coupe/hardtop convertible easier for next year?

Amazing how the L-Finesse design, with the GS before and the IS now, 'grows on me' like no car designs before or since. Whereas other designs, like the RX-8 or Mazda 6, have a 'wow factor' at first sight then fade quite a bit, the GS and IS are more 'cool' or 'that's different' at first but then over time they are so amazing to look at, and the sensation lasts long as each different viewing angle gives a different impression.

Wonder what color interior this is? It's not ivory, looks more like grey or even a white color. I wonder too if sport seats will be offered, The perforated seats look really nice, look at the front seat just below the headrest, how angular it looks.....like it would just conform to the natural angle of your upper back & neck. It looks really comfortable.

Thanks for those sharp photos 1SICKLEX!
I wonder why Lexus decided to make the shifter one-way, down shift on the left side and up shift on the right. Or are they planning on having both sides the same as they currently come now. IMO I prefer both sides being the same as they are now (up & down shift). This way all options are on the table in real world conditions.
