I hope soon but it seems in all likelihood it's at least 2 years off.

I wonder how they'll avoid cannibalizing the market for the $64,000 SC 430? Perhaps a return to the long, larger SC 400 style coupe (aka Mercedes SL) while the IS 350c (?) would be the smaller hot rod (aka BMW Z)

No one has the exact details yet. I hope it comes out by the time the new IS hits the showroom floors Oct 2005.

I bet Lexus does the same thing Infiniti did with the G35. The auto only IS350 sedan comes out then a coupe follows about a year later with a 6MT. Then a little later the 6MT gets retrofitted into the sedan. I hope Lexus does a stand alone coupe and convertible. I love the idea of a 3-position retractable hardtop but I'm afraid the top will push a coupe body style out of my price range. Lexus: Build an IS350 coupe and you'll be getting me back as a customer!

For goodness sakes man, you pick the 08 G35 over the IS coupe and we have seen NEITHER yet or know any true details about either.

Anyway, I believe the IS coupe will come out when the 3 coupe comes out (like the sedan vs sedan now). This should be next year with a spring debut and next fall release.

we might be flying instead of driving, who knows. 3 years is such a long time, i think you should just enjoy your G35 now.

THe IS coupe will not go the BMW route of a sedan with 2 less doors. They will go more so the Infintii route of the coupe not sharing many panels with the sedan.
