Default Saw the new IS in person today at the Javitz show..

Car is real nice, i'm gonna wait till this thing hits the dealers before i get rid of the benz. Thing is soo much better looking than the first IS, i've never liked that car at all. Saw it at the Javitz center in NY.

Default We also saw the new IS in person

My wife and I flew to New York and saw the new IS in person. It looks great. A lot of people were checking out the new IS on Saturday. I just wish we could have sat in it.

I'm going to the local Lexus dealer on Tuesday to put my name on the waiting list for the IS 350.

I absolutely love the new IS!!! Other than those huge elephant ear sized exterior mirrors and that very tall rear bumper - this car is freaking beautiful!

Love the looks of the new IS, but this is one of the very few unflattering angles, it looks too square, & it looks like it's chopped off (like the TL):

EITHER, these pics are deceiving or these are 2 different prototypes cause look at these, the rear looks nicer to me not as square and the bumper doesn't look so tall to me here. Look at the pic above, there are 2 large squares above the tailpipes. It's not on one of these pics below. Sooo what's up with this?

I think it's mostly the camera angles, sometimes a slight difference in the angle can make a significant difference.

Probably US safety regulations. I remember looking at the rear bumper for the current A4 on a european model and a US model and the US model had a longer bumper by about 2 inches!

Didn't BMW have to redesign the nose of the 7 series originally because the bumper was too low to meet US regulations?

I love the new IS more than the new GS. I'll definately wait until it hits in the dealership and get a test drive. I dont really like the new GS.
