Default First Production Date of the New IS

When do you think this car will actually go into production to be made? Since the cars will be available at the dealers by what Sep/Oct or Nov. Then the car would have to be already made months before right?

Also... Since it has been officially launched, when will we get another press released from Lexus with regard to the "final product"??? HP has just been mentioned but not permanent. How will it be delivered to us?

From another Car show?
From a Car Magazine?
From Lexus's Official Website?

August or Early September is when they should have full production.

i remember reading something like each other, tne new yr model cars come out in around late aug to early sept time frame. and that means the previous yr production will stop in apr and then the new production will start

if that's the case, that means the first production 2is should be in may or june?

Considering that Lexus itself set a goal of 45K/yr (which I think is a bit of a strech) it's not going to sell anywhere 10K/mo. The best selling sedan in the range of the IS, the TL sells like 6-7K/mo. The 3 series sedan sells like 5-6K/ mo. The C class sells 4K/mo. The TSX 3K the G35 sedan a bit more along with the A4. As good a car as the IS seems on paper going from 500/mo to even 4K/mo will take some good marketing and sales.
