Default Wait is KILLING me slowly....

Hi,

I am new to this forum and this is my 1st thread/post.

I owned a 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe. Owned it for a year. Totalled it a month ago. No one hurt. Walked away scratchless. I am thankful. I loved the ride but had nothing but bad luck with it from day one. Nothing major on Infiniti's part. Just circumstances I happened to fall into.

Anyway, for the moment I am pushing my mom's beat up 98 Honda Accord. Now in the market for a new car. I saw the new IS at NY International Auto Show a few weeks ago. I am in LOVE.

I really want my own new car again before the summer. I walked into Acura today and was thisclose to driving out with an Acura TL. But my heart told me I would kick my own **** once I saw the '06 IS on the streets ina few months.

I hate this wait. Anyone else waiting to purchase this? How do you feel?

Put down a deposit to make sure you're one of the first to get it

The new IS cannot come soon enough...we are seriously looking at cars, sadly before summer is out we might have already gotten one. I've been holding out for September...but dunno how long we can last.

to me, sometimes there are stuff that's just well worth the wait

if i have to say, i think the new is350 is worth it. it might be disappointing after all no one knows, but it's worth waiting just to see how it is

That TL is a bad little boy, if I could have financed it I would have gotten it myself. depends on your age, the IS is more of a 18-25 year old car though.

Welcome to Clublexus. The IS is going to be MAJOR this time around. Imagine, combining the luxury of the ES/TL with the sport of the 3/G35 with the quality, safety, prestige etc of a Lexus. Damn near a perfect car in the class.

Yeah, from information we've been given so far, the 2006 IS does seem to be THE perfect car...well perfect for me anyway. I am 29 years old. Gonna hit 30 soon (yuck!). The current IS does appeal to a more youthful demographic. The 2006 however seems timeless. I like it alot. I will NOT purchase the 2006 IS though.

THATS BECAUSE I JUST BOUGHT A 2006 GS300 AWD TODAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. So I guess I'll be over on the GS forums from now on but I will keep an eye on the IS threads also. Maybe I'll talk my mom into trading her Honda Accord in for an IS. That would be cool. I'd be able to swap cars with her every now and then.

Anyway, I went in to actually put a deposit down on the 2006 IS...I interrogated the salesperson real good and I dunno, but I didnt get the feeling that they were gonna honor my deposit and allow me to be one of the first to receive the car. So I took a deep breath and made a deal on the GS300.

So that's what's going on... You bought a new GS!! Welcome to the family. Be sure to log your entry in the GS roll-call thread at https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=151614 .

I thought most Lexus dealers do honor early deposits. The sales you were talking to might have just wanted to close your deal, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't honor a deposit if you insisted.

Well, what can I say, enjoy your new ride!
