U.S. will probably have a couple more color choices.

What exactly is Tungsten Pearl ?

2 Black's & no plain silver color ? That's very unusual

Tungsten Pearl is the silver that is featured in the press photos. Black Pearl looks very similar to Flint Mica.

I see, thanks I suppose Black Pearl is an even darker grey than Flint Mica , that's my favourite color for the new GS.

Excellent!!! IT's too bad they do not offer the IS 350 in AWD however.

for me, it will be either tungsten pearl or crystal white. ummm black pearl doesnt sound too bad either.
Yes it is, but they may not even call it tungsten pearl in USA, we sometimes name them different up here in Canada even if the paint code is the same.

Guys, BMW sells 184hp 325s like its no ones business. Most people ARE NOT HP hungry. The IS 250 will appeal to those that want a wonderful entry level Lexus. They can even get a manual, which will help any performance aspects.

I don't know why some of you have this infactuation with HP. If that is really true, for this price range, get yourself a nice 400hp Pontiac GTO.

These are still luxury sport sedans, the vast majority won't mod or even speed.

I am just happy so far the IS seems to be the total package.

How much more can a limited slip diff cost the factory than an open diff? that doesn't seem right...

I don't think it was a matter of price. The LSD has been deleted from the current model, (2004 & 2005) manual transmission IS's.

why only from autos though? it seems like a MT would benefit more from an LSD.

310hp... Hmm... so the reports from the Japanese tabloid magazines saying it'll have 320ps =~ 315hp is wrong after all eh. Still very good though.

So the yucky green color isn't coming to the North America after all? (Not that I will miss it.)

Anything is still possible for US Lexus on the IS350 numbers. We will have to wait and see what Torrance has to say.

Those color choices are for Canada only, there are one or two more color choices for the new GS for USA than for Canada too, so may be U won't miss that yucky green afterall.

231 kW is 314 "european" hp. 231 * 1.36 = 314.16 hp
