Not just in Japan but IS production moves the the worlds greatest auto plant, Tahara. Its the best auto plant ever, in the world. THe LS/SC and GS are produced there now.

I don't know if any Lexus will have everything in it from Japan & assembled in Japan.
The SC430 is made in the Tahara plant in Japan, but the leather is German Bader leather. If the serial # of the car starts with a J, that's good enough for me.

Well last year there was a rumor floating around it was going to be built in Canada, but you know how the rumor mill works. I know we export parts and such because of trade agreement, but like AmethystSC said it's all good with a "J" in the front of vin#.
