Default Trying...so....hard...to...hang....on......

hey guys. long time lurker, first time posting... well ive been in the market for a new car since last year (was going to buy an IS, then i found out about the new one)... so ive waited a whole year, (did the whole, get up at 3am to watch the unvailing at geneva thing)... and its killing me. Im so close to just buying a G35c to hold me over a year then buy the new IS in its 2nd year of production. it literally hurts to hang on. help!!! what should i do?!?

Personally, I probably would get the G35C and than buy the 2nd year IS if you still wan't/need it. I myself really want the IS350, but I will not be buying a 1st year run. I did it with my 04 RX330 and while my wife and I like the car I personally regret it and wish I waited for the 2nd year. All the little minor problems is not enough to offset the thrill of being among the first (I bought mine in April 2003) to have the car. If you can live with the potential headaches than I say if you really want to be the among the fist wait for it. It is really up to you though.

ummm, not really. sometimes some of the problems they will just be there forever.

for example some of the very early 98 gs, they have the old style steering wheel column, and lexus wont' change it for you even though it gives more vibration

That probably takes a lot more modification than just the steering column though...

Go out once a week and test drive something, anything - that should hold you over till October.

yeah...i need to work on this patience thing. since ive been ready to buy since last year, ive gone and looked at such a range of cars (and of course being an impulse buyer, i justifed in my head why it was okay) ex. i almost bought a Kia sorrento (no flames please, it would of been a work car ) than a Envoy denali, the audi a4 and a3, used s4, used m3, the new 330i (thorough european delivery), a volvo s60r, legacy gt lim, and of course a g35c....it just goes on and on...
this is by far the longest ive waited to buy something...but i keep on coming back to my first love the IS. It just seems to be the perfect balance of sportiness, luxury, utility (4 doors), and of course the looks. *sigh* so close...yet SOOOOOO far.

Have you put down a deposit already ? That will ensure you'd be one of the first to get it

Glacier Frost is the very light bluish color, not white.
The white on the GS is called Crystal White.
