Lexus kept it's promise on concept car incorporated into 2006 IS
Lexus said they would incorporate many features into the next gen IS and they held true. Blue lighting in the interior is so next level. At night when driving your new IS you will be too cool in the blue. Scuff plates are lit as well.
Pix of the interior blue lighting are on the lexus.jp website in the brochure. I wasn't able to attach the link. I am new to posting. The pix below is the concept car interior but the lighting is the same from viewing the pix on the ninja's website.

This is one bad @$$ website! I do have one question. Why isn't the LS or the ES included in the Japanese Lexus website? I believe that Lexus is waiting for the next generation LS to come out then they will include the LS in the website. Is the ES not worthy of being on the Japanese Lexus website? I know in some other countries the ES is not offered. Maybe there isn't a strong enough business case to have the ES in other countries. It just seems to be incomplete that the Japanese Lexus website has not included all the Lexus models such as the LS, ES, RX, GX and LX.

I think it's the same LED lighting used in the 3GS. Although it's actually white, it does appear blue since the human eye isn't really trained to perceive light as an actual pure white color, so it tends to be "blue" before it's white.
Then again, I could be completely wrong and that actually IS blue lighting

The 'Service' menu describes the future Lexus owner's website, and also 'G-Link' -- Lexus' answer to OnStar it seems, with several features including 'G-Book," whatever that is:

The photography and artistic nature of this website is breathtakingly beautiful...
Also check out the "L-Finesse art movie' from here:

Naturally, since the IS is not yet released, the flash site is not so large. But the downloadable PDF brochure, linked elsewhere, shows lots of detail, from the illuminated scruff plates, to interior blue mood lighting, to the frame structure and airbags:

Oh, I also discovered something:
The Sharp Plasmacluster (or whatever) seems standard on all JDM models.
I heard it releases silver ions/particles that remove dust, dirt, grime or whatever unclean stuff from the cabin/car's interior.
It seems to be only available on JDM models.

Yeah they always get the good stuff. The New IS we get has an Auto-Fresh/Recirculate vent control. If the sensor senses any type of particulate/smog or high levels of HC or CO...it will automatically shut the vents to recirculate for you just like what's found in the LS and new GS in addition to the in-cabin air filter.
