C&D is fast loosing credibility, it's almost looking like they wanted the bimmer to win. There is no way that a car which experiences mechanical & electrical failure should win a comparo test, it should have been eliminated from the feel. Pulling numbers from a previous test is a farce, it eliminates consistency and on one day the conditions might be more favourable than on another day. I know the E90 is the best handling car Blah Blah Blah and it should earn full marks in that category, but since when do you start winning a comparo by excelling in one category. The IS pretty much had all the other cars beaten in the remaining categories.

Well, I cannot lie "IMAGE" has a lot to do with these purchases, I can understand the gotta have it factor.
I mean, I would MUCH rather be seen in a 3 or IS than the rest of those cars, even if I knew NOTHING about them

What happened to the C&D review on page six of this thread. I was going to read it today and now I can't view it. Does anyone know what happened or where I can view this article. Thanks.

There's a good chance the pages where the scanned pages were hosted exceeded bandwidth...that's why you see red x's.

This seems like great news for Lexus fans if it is true - if the C&D model isn't a superfreak of some sort.
I hate to splash cold water on a hot fire but let's examine how feasible a 5.1 0-60 really is for a 300hp automatic.
if you look at HP vs Weight of the IS350, the Lexus 5.6 sounds much more likely. If the car can really do a 5.1 w/ an automatic, imagine would what happen with a 6spd? It would take off another 0.4-0.5 off which would put it in 4.6-4.7 range. That is FASTER than a 333hp E46 M3. And that not to bring up the fact BMW hp ratings are undervalued since they transmission and power to the wheels are much more efficient than japanese cars w/ the same HP rating at the crank.
In another words. 5.1 0-60 is not likely to hold up w/ consistent testing. Sorry for being a pessemist but it would almost seem as if Lexus would defy physics to get that kinda #.
