BTW, did you check the other #'s too ? if they are correct & still a tie, email/write C & D immediately !! But I guess they can always say in case of a tie in the scores, they get to subjectively pick a winner to break the tie . . .

j/k...this is a great find! C&D should be ashamed of themselves for putting out this crap they call a ranking. Data manipulation at its worst! If they wanna be biased, at least make the numbers look right. This is worse than Enron. C&D has lost its last bit of credibility for me.
Oh and welcome to ClubLexus! We need members like you here.

I dont have a Lexus yet, I drive a Toyota Avensis, but maybe in the future..
My dad has a Lexus LS, he had to pay around 140 000$ for it. Cars are so expensive here in Scandinavia.
I hope I can contribute with some good stuff again in the future.

Well this was a pretty good read. Very predictable outcome and outstnading numbers for the 350. Thats great. Seriously thinking about this for my next car in a few years.
Anyway I will comment on some of the cars.
Saab - What should you expect from this car. Its FWD, doesnt really stand out in any one thing, seems to be not as solid as the other cars(this also goes for the last generations Saabs too). But I personally like the style. Sporty looking and seems to be a nice buy. I also like the black and off white interior. That color combo is really nice. the steering wheel looks exceptionally nice. I also like the metal accents throughout as well. Nice car, but compared to the others, it just doesnt cut it.
Volvo - I too am really surprised of its outcome. its a great car, and I have always recommended it at least for a test drive. I'm truely surprised that they siad the seats were not that comfortable. It basically goes down in history as Volvo making some of the most comfortable seats in the industry, and the R is no exception to this at all. Buttery soft leather, and a lot of side padding. Probably the most in this entire group.
On to the pricing. Ive said before in my Volvo reviews that they can get really pricy when loaded to the gills and this model is no execption. It can easily be a 50K + car. But the people who price the R out to this level are diehard Volvo fans and loyal to the brand. Average price for the Volvo S60R is 41K MSRP which isnt that bad.
After driving both the S60R and new TL countless times I think it is safe to say that the R is faster than the TL, but not in this test. Maybe the heat did effect the big turbo.
lastly I will also have to disagree on the steering feel of the R. Its far from being loose. It has very direct steering and nicely boosted. Not BMW boosted but once again certainly better than the TL's. The steering wheel is really thick and the groves and stitching make it a great feeling wheel.
CTS is an all around nice car. Is that a Performance Package on the CTS?? I dont remember seeing those wheels, spoiler, or body colored grill. Nice touches, but its still not my cup of tea. No matter how much Rock and Roll they want to put in those damn commercials, I just cant see myself buying a Caddy. Ever. And a good friend of mine just bought one a few months ago. Still dont like it.
TL what can I say. That is one great performing FWD car. Argueably the best FWD car in its class. And it deserves that place. I agree with everything they said about this great car. Ive said it many times before easily the best mix of Sport and luxury at a great price.
G35. Always like it(the coupe it is) but even after the interior redo I still wouldnt buy it. And I have drove and rode in both before. Quality is up on the interior which is great, but its the design that I hate. I cant get by that.
And whats the deal with the Bimmer breaking down?? Thats never good.

You are right on with the "R". I purchased the first one to arrive in NE and have loved it. While I would have liked more aggressive styling I applaud their development of the engine, suspension and brakes. I have seen test numbers from 5.4 to 6+. Its a great blend of comfort and power with great seats, a 6 speed, 18 inch wheels, large brakes and AWD. I'm actually able to run UHP all season 235/40/18's all year and get around just fine in all but really bad snow days.
