That was similar to what I did when I bought my 04 TL the first week they were introduced, the BMW sales people were pissed, as they were showing the new 04 5 series, and the TL looked better at half the price.

That's one of the funniest things I've seen in a while! Did any of their customers stop and ask you about the car? BMW cars do look nice, but the IS stands out in that lot. The BMW still "looks" faster by design, but most people have no idea what's under the hood!
