If it's as fast as the current IS, it might be good enough for me. The money saved from buying the IS250 instead of the IS350 could allow me to get the upcoming Canon 5D digital SLR and some quality glass.
Options. Options.
Question - any reason to buy AWD over RWD if you'll never drive over snow ?

1) Like the added traction and safety of AWD
2) Like slighty lower gas mileage
3) Like to drive dirt roads
That's some of the main things I can think of.

I'm assuming you're Filipino based on your name. My wife is a Filipina - she can get very emotional over these big ticket items.
Then again, I just need my stock portfolio to get healthier and both may be in my grasps.

It's hard to say what "THE" 0-60 time is for any car. Different mags can get wildly varying times. For example, the 2006 GS430 has been tested as low as 5.7s and as high as 7.1s.
If you're looking for the very lowest 0-60 time for the 250, you'll just have to wait until several publications have tested it!

If you're looking for Lexus's 0-60 estimates, they are:
IS350: 5.6s
IS250: 7.9s
IS250 AWD: 8.3s
