So a Breakwater Blue IS will be your next car eh ? Great minds think alike , that color looks great on the car. I also like Matador red as well.

No yellow IS for this new model mm .
Personally, I don't think yellow is a suitable color for the IS250/350, unlike the IS300. I won't mind seeing a PS to see how it would look though.

Not for the later first-generation IS300's either....they dropped the yellow either for 2002 or 2003...I don't remember. When they dropped the bright yellow they added the bright red...the same red used on the Solara, MR2, Matrix, etc.....

I don't think it is so much a matter of yellow (or bright red) not being suitable as it is just a matter of the public in general going hog-wild over metallic silver and gray colors....and slightly less so for black. Like it or not, that is just the current automotive trend. Auto companies sell the colors that people want....or at least what they THINK people want.
My philosophy regarding auto color is that, true, you produce what sells, but you can't sell what you don't produce....you have to PRODUCE it first. Back in the early 1980's, for example, nobody thought that teal would sell. ( I did. ) When they finally DID produce it, it went like free beer.
