Fixed! Sorry

My family's Lexus vehicles combined have never had the same number of problems that my 2000 Cavalier with 20,000 miles on it did.

Of course not--I should clarify my statement. If problems arise, naturally corrections are made immediately. However, from model year to model year (in my experience) I've seen companies (Lexus and otherwise) make more major changes (such as increasing color options, offering options asked for by the public, etc. etc.) It's my hope that Lexus will be listening to first year owners and offering options to 2nd (or 3rd, or 4th) model year IS's

EDIT: I should also add that I have not had any problems with my IS300, nor have I had any problems with two previous Toyota Camrys I had. I wouldn't want anyone to misconstrue my statement as a lack of faith in the Toyota/Lexus reliability standard.

I'm different. I have the fist year production 04 RX330 that I bought in 2003 and I wish I wanted for the 2nd year run. I have no major problems, but all the little things make me wish I waited. I already went through at least 2 recalls, and there are over 17 TSIBs for this car since the last time I checked. My moms 1992 ES300 really isn't a good example since it is so old, but that car too is not exactly a trboule free work horse. The amont of repairs that went into that car is the most we put in any car to date. From now one I'm waiting to be assured of the cars track record first.

Back on topic, I priced out my IS350 with the latest released prices and it came out to $44,295 before taxes. Not too mention the extra $1000 to ship it back to my state bexcause my regoin doesn't have what I am looking for. At that price I think I'll look elsewhere or just spend the extra money on a GS430.

Gotta wait til my lease is up in Feb. 07! I already made the mistake and got the first model of the Accord. Not too many issues, but enough to make me wait for a 2nd model year.

Same here. Plus, since Hawai'i-sold Lexus' come thru a private distrubutor, we may not have certain options avail the first year, as did my RX330. (2004 model RX's came w/ NO 18" wheels, no Perf. Pack, no Multi-Panel Moonroof Pack, but 2005's did)

If it's over $42k for a fully loaded IS350, then most likely I'll probably have to wait till 2006.
