Last year I purchased an is250c and paid sticker price because of the demand for the car when it first came out. Today, you can get the is350c for less than I paid for the is250c.

You can get $5,000 off sticker on the is350c

Good to know. It's odd that car makers put "build your _____" on the web configurator, if all they are really doing is herding you toward what's likely to be in inventory.

It could be the fact that I usually buy a car in late spring / early summer when they no longer want to take orders, but it seems every time I've discussed a custom load out from a dealer they always tell me "well to get ____ (nav, custom stereo etc) you need to get the ______ " (fill in the blank with either a package or another gadget that increases the cost beyond the single item I want.

I always assumed that the reason for all this was simply keeping the manufacturing costs lower. Some manufacturers do this because by reducing the total number of possible configurations, the overall process can be streamlined (in theory at least).

Default $43K OTD for IS350 in So Cal? Really?

I am looking for a IS350 sedan in South Cal. I was told that South Cal does not get many choice in terms of packages on 350:

/ Smoky Mica ( if not available, then Starfire Pearl )
/ Black Int + Dark Wood Trim
/ Navi
/ Premium Package
/ Rear lip spoiler
/ HID
/ Accessory Package
/ 18" rims ( i heard no choice on rims )
/ 1.9% for 60 mos.

I am looking for $39k OTD, because IS250 can go $35k OTD + $4k MSRP difference. The lowest offer that I can get now is $43k, what a huge difference? Anyone knows anything otherwise? It seems like $4-5k more than a same equipped G37...

The IS 350 is a lower volume car than the 250 - supply and demand - you can't get as good a deal on the 350 as the 250. If you gotta have the 350 you'll have to pay a premium. The IS models tend to come in specific configuartions - not a lot of choice anywhere in the country!

which is an excellent reason to special order if you can stand to wait a couple months for the car...

(and doing so shouldn't cost you extra if you find a decent dealer)

Default Is this a good deal? AND Selling my wheels!

Hey guys, i have an 06 IS250 AWD Luxury now (htd, cooled seats, etc) with no nav..all i have done to it is upgraded the hologens to HID's and added a lip spoiler as well as tinted the windows...o and added xm radio..anyway, i have 79k miles on it and the dealership offered me $17,500 for it. Which i think is a pretty good deal. Im getting an even better deal on the car im looking at. Its an 07 IS350 LOADED with every option including nav, park assist sensors, HIDs and basically every option they can get, with 54k miles for $23,500.....so thats the deal...what do you all think?

Lol just do what my brother did with his v6 accord... say you hit a dip and because you were so low you lost control right into (whatever you choose)

realistically I would take 20 or 15k and someone take over my payment lol

Did you even read what he said?? Read one word at a time, buddy.

On another note, I still can't believe they are making IS's , which only come in Leather, without Heated/Vented seats as standard from the factory (i.e. it is not an Upgrade Option).
