I think you misunderstood what Ratman009 was trying to say. Of course the IS in flipside909's video could play DVD movies. It was equipped with BOTH Nav and ML. What Ratman009 was trying to say is that you won't be able to play DVD or even DVD-A at all in an IS with ML but without Nav because such a configuration will not be given a DVD changer but rather still a CD changer. The additional cost of $500 for the DVD changer and the DVD/hi-def audio decoding logic is thus more or less justified.

Also, the non-nav IS won't even have the display.

Confusion... So if you JUST get NAV and no ML (because thats how the first shipments are coming) you cannot play DVD's? or just AUDIO DVD's?

You can only play DVD Video & Audio with the ML/Nav system only. MP3 & WMA can be played on the non ML units as well as the ML units.

To clarify:
- you can only play MP3 & WMA CDs on the non-ML units.
- you can play the above plus MP3 DVDs, WMA DVDs, DVD Audio and DVD Video on the ML.

There is no button for PA on the steering wheel. PA (I believe) is activated by using the satellite switch below and to the left of the steering column on the dashboard (the satellite switch scrolls through the menu on the screen between the speedo and tach).

The button on the right side of the steering wheel with the car pictured with lines coming from the front is for the radar cruise control. If you don't get the pre-collision system, which includes the radar cruise, you don't get that button.

You guys do realize that a fully loaded 2006 BMW 330i has nothing other than their version of 'on star' that the IS doesn't have, plus the IS has several standard features and options the 330i just doesn't have at all and the 330i loaded to the hilt can clear 50 THOUSAND dollars sticker price, right?

Not saying that's excusable. But I'm just saying don't freak if a loaded to the hilt IS350 is 43-44k... it's still 'average loaded' pricing for the segment with more power or features than everyone else to boot.

That's MSRP for the following configuration:

$36,030 for the base IS350, including a $590 delivery charge
$2,550 for the nav system
$1,290 for the "Premium Package" - wood trim plus perforated leather heated & vented seats (the much more expensive "Plus" option packages add bi-xeons, memory seats, tilt-down mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, etc., and are in fact the only way to get those items)
$720 for 18" wheels - seems to be a standard addition to the IS350
$194 for the port-installed "Preferred Accessory Package" - trunk mat, cargo net & wheel locks, also whether you want them or not

.
