Default IS350 Option Pricing

Well folks, here is a pretty complete listing of option pricing:

Base 350 - $35440
Destination ~$650
Premium Luxury Plus w/ 17's - $3495
Premium Luxury Plus w/18's - $4215
Performance Luxury Plus (listed as sport package by your dealers) - $3695
Navigation - $2550
Parking Assist - $500
Mark Levinson (yes, it IS listed as a stand alone option) - $940
18" Wheels with summer tires - $720
Headlight Washers - $100
Nav+ML package $3990 - which is actually more than the options separately, so there may be a mistake here. Figure $3490 is the more accurate number for the NV option code.

So my car (Perf. Luxury Plus, Nav+ML) will be $43235. OUCH! I really hope that these option prices are wrong.

These have to be wrong.

The NAV+ML package should be a little cheaper then the options installed separately. These prices seem ridiculously high.

He called me right away to give me the numbers. He agreed with me that there is no way NAV+ML (NV option code) would be $500 more than Nav (NV) and ML ordered separately. so maybe the NV code will be closer to $3000?

ML has been close to $2K for quite some time now, so $940 is crazy. I agree that the Nav+ML package can't be more expensive than the 2 options separately.

Also, the Premium Lux and Perf Lux packages look really expensive.

Sounds good to me. 43-44K was what most were speculating for fully loaded. Or around the base price of a GS300. Sort of like how they did with the ES and GS of years ago(fully loaded ES around 38K, base price of GS around 39K).

Good stuff, now go out and buy.

Thanks for the all-important option pricing. $43k for your car is a lot considering it isn't even loaded yet. A somewhat loaded IS350 with Premium Luxury Plus w/18's, Nav+ML, Parking Assist and Headlight Washers will cost $35,440 + $4,215 + $3,990 + $500 + $100 = $44,245. And this is without moonroof and PCS/ACC, which will very probably cost another 2-3 grands!!! Any words on how much exactly the moonroof and PCS/ACC will cost?

BTW, ML has to be a stand alone option because states like Hawaii don't get the nav system.

Hold up.

Park Assist - $500

Now is that the Sonar Park Assist with the beeping noise, or is that the backup camera that you have to have the Navi for?? I'm assuming its the Sonar Park Assist. But if you have Navi with the back up camera, do you really need the Sonar Park Assist?? I have used both separately and they work equally as well. I dont see a need to spend the extra $500 bucks if you are equipping your car with Navi.

Hmm I was pretty sure that moonroof has always been listed as a separate option. At least it isn't included in any of the packages. Where did you get the info that moonroof is standard AND is included in the base price?

Perhaps it costs more to install the two separate items together. There may be some wiring/installation issues to provide Surround Sound to enable DVDs.

And as for the high price, the Nav + ML option is over $4k on the new GS. It sounds appropriate.

The new IS incorporates a number of standard features available only as options on many competitive vehicles, including leather-trimmed interior, power moonroof and SmartAccess with push-button start. In addition, driver and front passenger 10-way power seats are also standard on all IS models.

Park assist tells you if an object is behind you, or too close in front of you, and at the corners of the car as well. So, although a back-up camera helps, it doesn't tell you if you are about to hit a pole/wall/car in front of you while parking frontwards.

Ahh thanks...so it's in the PR.

So all along the preliminary option lists we've been reading are just that...preliminary.

Gotta read more carefully.

Lexus's prices are getting closer and closer to BMW's, which are slightly under Benz's. Lexus left Infiniti and Acura further behind price-wise.
