"5) N-A 4-door sedan w/ automatic transmission"

The 340hp S4 can be had with an auto tranny and it's naturally aspirated.

But it doesn't really have faster 0-60 than the IS350. I've seen 5.3-5.6 seconds, same range as the IS350.

Now if they made the RS4 with an auto, *that* would win this category hands down. 420 hp NA V8, 0-60 in 4.7-4.8.

OK, gotcha. I just figure if there is no clutch pedal, and no manual rowing of the stick is mandatory for gear change, then the thing is an automatic.

Didn't know that the S4 was even tested by anyone.

Anyway, it makes sense that it's about the same times as the IS350. The S4 auto has 11% more power, but it also weighs 11% more, mainly due to the AWD and the heavier V8.

Yup, more engine = more power, but awd + heavier chassis = more weight, overall it cancels out and you would expect similar 0-60 times.

Here is one review that says 0-60 in 5.3 sec, but I'm not familiar with this source so I don't know if it's reputable:

You are right though. When the NSX producton ends at the end of the year which is now, the IS350 will probably be the NA V6 current production king for a little while My gues though is Infiniti with the updated G35 engine will match it, and the upcoming Infiniti GTR will probably take over as king for a long time after that.

But, IS350 NA engine makes 306hp and Supra Turbo makes 320.
Back 1997 Toyota Supra stop production cars, Toyota bring up new baby IS350 fights other high performaces sport sedan segment? Not as good Toyota Supra handling and styling too!
