Hello everyone,
New member here, but I haven't decided if I will be purchasing the new IS or going with something else. I'm planning on a new purchase within a year or so, and so far have only looked at and driven the Cadillac CTS. Also on my list are the G35 and the TL. I had a M3 around 8 years ago, and was not impressed with the build quality. It drove like a dream, but in the short 10 months I had the car, it was in the shop 10 times for different problems. So I'm a little leery of BMW's.
Anyway, my local dealer (only one in the area) is not the greatest when it comes to making me feel like they want me as a customer. At a new car showcase I went to today that gathers local dealers and their newest cars, I stopped to talk with the Lexus guy. When I asked about if he had a new IS at the show, he bluntly said "no". Then I asked if there was one at his dealership, he again bluntly said "no" and walked away. Not a warm, fuzzy feeling from this guy at all, let alone obtaining an IS brochure from him.
OK, on with my question. I have not been able to find a picture of the dash without the NAV system, and wondered if anyone had a quick link that I could view. I like gadgets, but don't know if NAV is worth it for me. I will be pinching pennies for a while in order to put a large downpayment for a car in order to reduce the monthly payment, and am looking for ways to afford the 350.
Also, is the brochure on the Lexus website the same as the one from the dealers?
Thanks and congratulations to all that have taken delivery of the IS. From the pictures I've seen, it looks like a gorgeous car!

Here is something else I found. I've often wondered why I would need NAV in Nebraska. Other than its cool to control audio, climate and other features through the on-screen display. But do I need it? Probably not as the car just goes from point A to point B and back most of the time.

Perfect!!
Thanks for the pics. I was worried that without the large screen, the dash would look kind of empty. It actually looks pretty good (as does everything else about the IS!!!)
Thanks again!!

Bruce that is great quality, was your program in High Definition? Looks great, do you have the video and could you upload the video in HD to the gallery for us to download? Thanks. My program was not in HD.

Nice pics Bruce!!
No need to email them. They satisfied my curiosity!
Looks like the display on the radio is one line. I'm interested in how Sirius will work with the "stock" radio (if at all!) One of my favorite aspects of the Kenwood head unit in my Silverado is the fact that I can view 3 lines of info at all times, such as artist, song, name of channel, etc. I figured with the NAV screen, there would be a variety of configurations for satellite radio, but wondered if the stock system will just scroll one line of information.
Thanks!!

I sort of prefer the satin finish over the wood!

TNGreg,
It's hard to see in the first picture, but the radio display is alpha-numeric. You would see text but it will probably be all upper-case and scroll in one line.
