According to Lexus.com

Luxury Package w/18-in wheels (RWD only) - $4,215
- Auburn bird's-eye maple interior trim
- Perforated leather-trimmed interior
- Power tilt-and-telescopic steering column
- Lexus Memory System for power driver's seat (except lumbar), outside mirrors and steering wheel
- Heated and ventilated front seats
- Illuminated doorsill scuff plates
- Power rear-window sunshade
- Rain-sensing intermittent windshield wipers with mist cycle
- Electrochromic (auto-dimming) outside mirrors with auto tilt-down in reverse
- Bi-xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps
- Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS)
- 18 x 8.0-in alloy wheels with 225/40YR18 tires front [3], 18 x 8.5-in alloy wheels with 255/40YR18 tires rear [3] (RWD only)

The price is like 6,000 dollars difference. The Auburn bird's-eye maple cost that much?

Why is there such a big difference in price, I always thought the Sport Pkg cost more than the Lux. It seems both of these have about the same options except for the wood, illuminated scuff plates and sunshade. That makes up $6K?

What as I missing here? Also where is the lumbar support in the seats? Is there any?

Default it's the illuminated doorsill scuff plates

Everybody wants them.

And the springs are ½" longer for lux pkg cars -- that must cost Toyota something.

That's my main problem (I think Lexus knows it too) I want the lit scuff plates but I also want the sports pkg and a rear sunshade. argh!! Why can't I have it all? This is one of the reasons I want to wait till next year.

dont get held up by small details dude :-), like rear sunshade, while cool cant beat tinting.... Lit scuff plates you can probably get anyway...

im glad there not that much difference. i think i can live witout rear sunshade and illuminated door sill.
