That's the reason why I ordered the diesel...there's a kick between 2200rpm and 3000rpm...indescribable, incomparable (at the most with the 350 --> not available in Europe )
Only 177hp and 4 cylinders , highway gas mileage of 44m/gl. .
0-60mph in 8,9sec
Track speed is 140mph (thank the Lord for our Autobahn... )
295lb.ft @ 2000rpm
Wish there was a V6 w/ at least 210 HP like in the Peugeot 407 Coupe (Max power 205bhp @ 4000rpm, Max torque 330lb.ft @ 1900rpm). Power of a diesel, runnning smoothness of a gas V6.
P.S. Why don't y'all introduce the metric system...would make things so much easier

That gas mileage is incredible! Where in Germany are you located? Just curious?

Oops, was tired earlier to see your local. Stuttgart is SEHR Schorn! Cool that you've got a Lexi among all those Germans! Bet you'll get a few looks to say the least!

I'm sure I'll get asked more than once "Hey, how's your Hyundai runnin'?"...
I just love it. I personally think that German cars are ugly...especially Mercedes' and VWs.
Moreover, I believe that the new IS looks like what a BMW 3-series should look like according to BMW's marketing devision, while the new 3-series looks like a "typical 90's Japanese car", especially the back...

Sometimes, LEXUS has its own building, but most of the time, there's only a LEXUS area within the Toyota building which is just much more luxurious (black tiles, leather seats, expensive wood, extravagant lighting etc.) than the Toyota area.
LEXUS doesn't need so much space as it does in the US, cause the only models offered are the IS, GS, LS, SC and RX, no ES, LX and you name it...
Also, Lexus is not very well known (only "insiders" know of their quality) and so not many ppl buy them --> little amount of used cars.
By the way: I lived in Kentucky for some time, drove a 00' GS 300 (Platinum ed., white) and a 98' SC 300 (red), and once or twice I even visited Indiana...I have a friend who's Fightin' Irish PM me if you have further questions 'bout that

I picked the car up yesterday 01/11/2006. I was extemely lucky as the other 4 Lexus dealers in this area were sold out of the 350 black on black. I plan on getting to the drag strip as soon as possible and am probably going to schedule its first dyno session tomorrow to get a baseline run in.
