Hey guys im completely new to the Lexus brand. I am a serious BMW enthusiast. Unfortunately I had to sell my 99 e36 M3 which I thought I was going to keep forever but my career changed those plans. Im a Ducati and Triumph motorcycle Technician. I have an associates in Automotive Technology so no need to dumb things down.
Ok, so Im really low on cash and my friend offered to let me make contract payments on his 2006 Lexus IS250 AWD. Silver w/black interior. Its got the 10(?) spoke factory rims. The car has 170,000 miles on it.
Got it for 4000. Needs some work like O2 sensor and has misfire code which im guessing is just coil packs and plugs which i plan to replace both and all.
I did some brake work to this car about a year ago and it seemed mechanically sound. The cars been sitting for a while but I hope to make it run perfect and get a few years out of it. I pick the car up tonight. Wish me luck

Hey everyone I'm new from Montgomery, AL. i just picked up my first Lexus this morning as a daily so I can park my trans am to get it running right. But I doubt I'll be able to NOT do something to this car. Haha. Anyways here goes:

It's the first time that I see an IS in that color.
Yep, since purchase i have seen a handful of this colour...the colour code is 4T1 (Gold Almond Pearl) looks like it has a silver flip in the paint, at night it looks like its a different colour, im actually going to keep the colour as is.
Also a small update, found a set of Volk TE37's, waiting for some springs, my wald spoiler that was on it's way went missing so i had to order another one. and in the mean time my A/C compressor packed up. so that also needs replacing.
