Hello everyone, I just got my IS 350 about a month ago. It is RWD and Black on Black. I have Dunlop 18s all around and no spoiler. I really like this car and the way it handles. I had a Acura prior and a ES 350 before that. I was wondering about my tire life on this car ?!?! It was AFTER the sale that the salesperson told me to not to expect good mileage out of my tires. On my Acura I had 55,000 miles prior to having to replace. I was told I can not even rotate these thires? Cant I rotate, side to side ? Buying new tires at 15-20.000 miles just seems like its almost illegal. Lexus ought to do something for people who buy a car like this. Even though the car was not terribly expensive it just bugs me that I will have to get new tires so often and the fact that I cant rotate them. I almost wish now I did not buy this car the way the tires and wheels are set up. Does anyone have any information on rotating the tires, side to side ? Any thoughts on which tires might work the best for the 2016 IS 350? Love the car, dont like this tire issue. Thanks ....

You got a 2016? You might want to visit the 3rd gen IS forum then. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...4-present-249/

The factory 18's are staggered, so they can't be traditionally rotated. If you don't have directional tires, you can swap side to side, otherwise, for directional tires, you'll have to take the tire off the rim and remount it. I wouldn't bother though if they're directional, too much work, too many rotations to get the most tread out of them.

Your rear tires will go before your front tires. I have a pair of Yokohama Avid Envigors, both front and rear put on at the same time, and the rears are already toast after 15k. RWD + lot of power = those tires will go quick if you have a bit of a lead foot. There's a reason most tire manufacturers halve the rear tire warranty if you have staggered rims with different tire sizes.

Default My first build 2is awd

Proud first time Lexus owner bought my car about 8 months ago with about 118xxx. I'm the second owner and everything has been maintained by Lexus.

My build so far:
18x9 STR forged 902's
BC coilovers
ISF rear spoiler
VIP carbon fiber roof spoiler
Satin black roof wrap

Over the summer I hope to finally decide on an exhaust, Its between Tanabe or Greddy (I'm thinking Tanabe) and then a camber kit. Eventually I would like to get some f sport brakes on there too!

Welcome,

Where did you find the steering wheel? I like that and if you done mind me asking about how much did you have to spend to buy the steering wheel?

I am capable of changing the wheel myself, just need to know where to find one?
Any regrets buying the steering wheel?

Thanks

Tex

From http://www.dctms.com/Products.html They gave me a good deal when I called, $600 + $30 shipping.
Yes, very easy to install. Just make sure not to spin your clock spring when removing your steering wheel.
