I just recently bought a 2007 is250 as a restoration project/ daily driver. I have never really looked into these cars and bought it for the price it was listed (steal). Has some paint peeling issues, suspension is blown but it came with some eBay coilovers in the trunk 🤷🏿‍♂️, and the interior looks like cid from toys story used his magnifying glass on it, but it was dumb cheap full of potential. I want to know about parts, and kits for the body as well as things I can swap on it to make it look more aggressive. Like can I swap fsport kit on or would I be considered a poser lmao.

Hello all,

A little over a week ago I picked up this pretty beat but not yet dead 07 IS350. I’ve wanted one for a long time and the stars finally aligned. I’ll be looking to do some upgrades once I get past maintenance/ some front end body work. Does anyone know of a Lexus/Toyota shop around NJ maybe a retired dealer mechanic? Not looking to take it to the dealer but its running rough and I’d like a pro to go through it.

- Coolant (00272-SLLC2 (-LX) TOYOTA / LEXUS Super Long Life coolant 50/50 mix)
- Radiator cap (16401-31650)
- Fuel pressure sensor (89458-30011)
- Transmission fluid drain and refill w/ new gasket and filter (00289-ATFWS fluid / 35330-50020 - transmission filter / 35168-60010 - transmission filter gasket / 90301-31014 - Transmission filter o ring / 35178-30010 - Drain Plug and Overflow Plug, Gasket (Qty: 2) / 90301-15004 - Fill Plug, Gasket / O-Ring
- Differential fluid drain / refill (08885-02506 - GL-5 75W-85 )
- PCV valve (12204-31050)
- Check spark plugs (90919-01249 Denso FK20HBR11 / 3473 Iridium Long Life (SIP) (043 gap 5/8" socket)

Official name for that color is Black Sapphire Pearl and it is a beauty. I looks black early in the morning when it's cold and dewy, but a deep glossy kind of midnight Blue in bright sunlight.

You'd love it! I traded mine in earlier this year for a 22NX350h.

I did clean the throttle body as is had a rough idle at lights. I am hoping I did the relearn procedure right after reconnecting the battery. I was able to find out how to reprogram window switches here as I wasn’t expecting them to need to be reset. Driving home tonight I got a P0018. At the same time the check VSC and VSC lights came on. The car is loping at lights. It was noisy but I thought I was injectors based on what I read. I am going to find a mechanic to look at it once I find someone reputable. In the mean time I will continue researching on these great forums.

7. I bought this from a guy who purchased it new from Sewell Lexus in Dallas. It has been in Texas its entire life and he had it maintained by Lexus as well! There were a few dents in odd places on the vehicle that we PDR'd out, but some scratches I want to have repainted in the future.
8. Mods: Megan Racing F/R Strut tower braces, Hubcentric wheel adapters, F-Sport Airbox mod, Rear Diffuser with LED brakelight, Muffler delete with stock tips, Tein S-Tech springs.
9. Maintenance: I just had to replace my MAF (which was original), I replaced my spark plugs, the upper and lower crush washer assemblies on my engine oil feed lines, my shocks, and tires.
