Lexus has definitely created the new IS250/350 with a different demographic in mind than the previous model. Resultantly, I am real curious about the age of the posters on our thread, "IS Second Generation". I would like to do an analysis of gender and age and post the results for all that are interested.

This is a terrific forum...for it's diversity, product & technical knowledge of the members, and sponsor participation.

Sure, I'll play - just turned 25, married last July. Since I take the train to work, was considering selling the Lotus and getting a Noble, but the ex-girlfriend (read: wife) can't drive stick. Bought the IS, since IMHO, it's the best AT car out there for the $.

Well looks like I'm going to blow the demographic all to hell; 58 yr young male, and 60 yr very young wife - figured that I'd throw that in since we both drive the IS. We also have (my) RX 330 Thundercloud edition. Prior vehicles - way too long a list to try to put in writing, but have had 3 Toyota 4Runners, 2 Toyota Pick-em-ups, Celica ragtop, and many, many others including 55 T-Bird, 63 Grad Prix, Dart w/440 Magnum transplant, Hemi Superbee etc.

48 year-old white male, empty nester, can afford much more expensive cars. Traded-in '02 BMW M3 coupe for a loaded IS. Preciously owned a '97 M3, and two Integras before that. I love BMWs but dont like any of the DFW area dealers. Lexus service is unrivaled here and I enjoy driving the IS and not having to obsess over the car like I did with my M3's.
