Default Nav Override?

Has anybody tried the 2006 GS Nav override on the 2006 IS Nav?

Here is the link:

This will enable us to enter destinations and POI's while driving if it works.

Anybody try yet?

That's one of the first things I want to do, but does it matter that the Nav is a new gen/type of system? Perhaps the new technology is something that needs to be dissected independent of any other Nav system out in the market...
