Default Buying IS350

OK Im very new here and will surely buy an IS350 Black in cash next year, I wanted to buy now but Im going to Asia for 4months to do some business.

And this are my questions on IS350: How are Manual downshifts?,
Can I fit a double DIN GPS navi there?, because I dont want "plastic" wood in my Lexus, does the 17"s look tiny on it?, and hows the trunk space, also is there a 60/40 split rear seats for my surf boad? and most of all does it even have a "key"? are the HIDs standard?

Welcome to CL.

You may want to go through some of our sticked posts in the main 2nd Gen IS section if you haven't done so already...it will answer alot of your basic questions about the New IS.

If you want to see what the 17" look like...trunk space and etc...you may want to check the link below here:
https://www.clublexus.com/index.php/...iew/7475/1/10/

Sorry no room for a surfboard...ski pass through the rear center armrest only. BTW, the wood in the New IS is genuine wood manufactured by Yamaha (think pianos).

OK, because my friends ES330 is plastic it peels when exposed to Vegas sun and dryness.

You must have not done your research on this car. www.lexus.com and reading my article will shed alot of light on your basic questions.

Smart Key access is standard on all New IS models meaning there is no key...it's push button start.

Both the IS and GS have the remote key with push button start. You get 2 of these keys.

That's the valet lock out key so you can lock your trunk and glove box. You give them the transmitter and keep the little key. But you don't use that key to start the car or to open the door and I think that's what LTune was asking.

Hmm I wonder how you get into the car if the battery on the smart key dies?

I think you need to do a little more research instead of asking simple questions over and over again...and have people answer them for you. It would save you alot of time and frustration if you did a little bit of HW.

Moonroof is optional but is usually packaged in already. Very rare to find a non-moonroof IS or Lexus for that matter.
