Default New IS TT Possible?

With the advent of only V6 engines in the new IS, are we destined to see twin turbo IS' rolling around? When the G35/350Z were introduced, twins were (and I believe still are) the only option besides supercharging. Which engine do you think would get a TT package first??? 204hp v6 or 306hp v6??? This should get pretty interesting consindering some of those TT kits for the 350 are putting out 500+ hp!

I'd say FI in the new IS is going to be very, very difficult. You have a direct injection, high-compression aluminum V6 in there.

I second that. I think this is going to be like a BMW engine where you just can't touch it with FI.

If you want a high hp car then you shouldn't get the IS350. It's a family car, not a dyno queen.

I think we'll see a V8 first before any forced induction IS.

A V8 sounding IS test mule has been spotted on the Nurnburgring in Germany.
Hope it will make it to production.

Just wondering what direction Lexus will take with the GS if this happens. Already no manual trans in the IS. Is TRD gonna come out with a super charger like they have for the V8 Tundras, V6 camrys, and the 3.4litre '96-'04 4Runners and Tacomas.

well i think (and i hope) lexus will have a performance devision (hopefully not trd, coz' that's for toyota) that will come up with something that goes head to head with the m and amg series

putting v8 in the IS to go with m3, and i am sure lexus can figure out something for the gs

After TRD USA's failed attempt at the S/C systems (fuel problems and etc) for the 5VZ-FE, 1MZ-FE, 2UZ-FE and etc, I doubt they'll release another Eaton S/C system for any new Toyota engine. Now that the new 2GR-FSE w/D-4S in the IS350 is putting out about 1600 psi of fuel pressure and an almost 12:1 c/r...that's going to be some tough hurdles to overcome.
