Does the IS have the very small amount of ambient lighting on the center console that we've been finding on all the new Lexus's?

It's almost like they couldn't decide what colors they wanted the interior.

* Gauges are white w/ blue pieces ODO reading
* Lime Green around the console
* Illuminated Door Sills look light blueish
* Red buttons around the seating controls

But it's those lime green buttons that seem out of place for this high class model.
What red buttons? Are you sure it's not the red focus light from the camera; because the door sill and underdash also appear red?

Keep in mind guys, the camera I used isn't correctly color balanced to what your naked eye sees in real life. The ambient red/amber color you see is due to the outside lighting and it was a setting I used preset on the camera to capture low lighting situations.

For the illuminated door sills, they are light blue in color. They compliment the interior in my opinion.

The red buttons...those are not red buttons...they are white labels on the seating controls that were dictated red/amber from the outdoor lighting of the parking lot.

I've never mentioned this, but I have noticed this more and more. Everyone overanalyzes everything in pictures and the text they've read on the internet and on printed media. You have some that complain about the most asinine thing like the color led of the clock. "The clock LED's are green...i'm not buying the car anymore" . Enjoy the car for what it is and what it's worth. If you haven't experienced the car yourself in person...whether driving or sitting in it, you don't have basis for complaint. It's funny but it seems that the ones that complain the most and nitpick have no intention of buying the car. In essence they're better off looking at something else.

Rationalize what you see in the photos I took...don't look in between the lines.

Yes. As for the exaggerated lighting for the driver's and passenger...I turned the map lights on for that purpose to show how well the area is lit.

I would never base my car decision on interior lighting, I'm just stating I think the green does not flow that well but maybe I will change my mind once I test drive the car.

For me, I'm just comparing it to the interior of my SC400 which the lighting just flows so sweet, I'm use to either all white like on my SC400 or red interior lighting like on my E46. So the green just sticks out for me here & would be something I would just have to get use to.

Doens't mean I won't buy the car because of this. But I do still have an opinion.

The green lights doesn't match, but I have to see it in person at night first, I don't always trust pics . . .

Are my eyes deceiving me or is that IS baby blue in your gallery of day and night shots of the IS? Is that a photoshopped color or paint shopped? It looks good.

Meh, I don't mind the toyota green lights... makes me feel nostalgic for the long trips I used to make in my old MR2 with an instrument panel barely lit by a few dim green lights. In fact, I'm replacing the lights in my home theater with dim Toyota green lights.
