anyone else on this forum have a 6MT? Or am I the first one? I know that I will be the first in DFW area...and the only for at least a couple of months

Nice. Please do post your driving impressions here since it would be nice to learn how the 6 speed manual 250 performs and handles.

so I drove home my new black onyx 6MT....taking it very very easy on the clutch, brakes, etc. I want to make sure I break it in before I break it So far, it seems to handle very well, dont know about the acceleration/deceleration yet. The 6MT transmission is more "difficult" to engage than expected, and the pedal travel is much longer than I would like, but overall I am very satisfied with the purchase. I will have a better understanding/update of the car later-after a very good break in period

I assume you are talking about the shift gates placed too close to each other (1st to 4th), which makes you mistake 3rd and 1st and the gear shifts feel as 'very notchy'??? Clutch throw might be long, but I can bet the clutch is very easy to use and engage (though the grab point feel is very subtle). That is quite normal especially for a brand new one since the edges shift gates will wear off a little bit as the miles roll by and it will become smooth as butter.
p.s Please post some interior and exterior pictures. I would like to see some 6MT interior pics.

Get the IS. It looks much more nicer and sportier, RWD and the interior is much more luxurious.

I'm looking for a 6MT and want to get some ideas of what people are paying.
Still deciding between a 2006 TSX or an IS250.

Saving $6k and going with the TSX is the only reason why i'm considering the TSX.
So get a Bare Bones IS250 6MT
Or a fully loaded TSX with bluetooth for 27k.
Kinda leaning towards the TSX since i'm a poor student right now.

What I was talking about was the pedal travel (clutch throw, same thing). You have to depress 100% to start the car, and shifting also requires very long pedal travel. You are right-the grab point is very very subtle
I know what a new car clutch feels like, this one is just extra long for some reason
Pictures to come! Picked it up on Friday and its already filthy-damn black onyx....why does it have to look so good???

I agree! ( Just test drove one, I have a manual on order ) The glutch is very very long and the engage point is very hard to find. Another thing is, the glutch felt very very smushy. I was a bit dissapointed with that. Thinking that " This is what I have to deal with?" Now that you have driven the car for a while, what do you feel about the glutch now??
