Lexus_luvr hit it square on the nose with his comment about name recognition. Lexus, Infiniti, and Acura are all at the same price point...but you rarely see average people trying to compare an Acura to a BMW or Mercedes which isn't the case with Lexus. When my sister found out I bought a Lexus, she through a hissy fit at her husband, cuz she never got a Lexus...but her husband drives an Acura TL...i don't think she realized that both cars have similar price points, and when she heard lexus it just sounded more "luxurious".
