Planning for next set of tires
Any thoughts on good tires for the next set on my 350. I have the 18's and imagine that the factory set wont last long. I'm about even in priorities between noise and traction, since other than straight-line, I don't corner too hard.

Toyos have always been good, the t1-rs or the proxies which seem to be the favs of a lot of people. I have dunlops on my car right now that I am happy with. They are noisy as all which is the one thing I would change but the over all performance of them is good. BFG KDWs are pretty good, so I've heard. I would just search around and see what people are using and see which ones suit you best. Good luck.

I had Michelin Pilot Sport tires on my M3 for the past 11 years, and like them a lot. Very stable wet or dry. Good "summer" tire, which is all I need in L.A.
When the Dunlops go on my IS350, I'll probably replace them with the Michelins.

If you want all-season, go with Pirelli PZero Nero M&S.

Any Z rated tire will have a Tread Rating of 200 to 350AA at best. If you want longer lasting tires thing about about a V or S rated tire. There is alot of great options in that catagory but remember you are giving up some performance for tread wear.
For this reason alot of people use some of the not so popular brands that are Z rated that have a low cost ratio. For example Falken, Continental ContiExtremeContact, and etc.
Just start searching on tirerack and discouttire what is the cheapest High Performance all season tire.
If your car is a IS350 just consider changing your rears 2 .5 times per every front set so get something gives a cheap rear tire replacement.

Both of these tires are highly ranked by Tire Rack.
