Lightbulb

For the record step 5 is exactly a 10 second wait... you can use 10 blinks from the OEM Clock...

Also, you should start pressing the trip button just after the miles show up on the Odometer...

I did it like 5 times last night just to make sure 10 seconds was right..

i tried doing this following it step by step .. does not work for the 08 is350 ...

after i hold the trip reset button for 30 seconds, and buckle my drivers side belt at the same time, nothing pops up ... then after its buckeled, i release my finger off the trip odom, and it just toggle's to trip "a".

help???

Solution:
1. turn the key to the ON position, foot off the brake
2. cycle the odometer with the trip reset button until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B)
3. turn the ignition to the LOCK (OFF) position
4. unbuckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled.
5. turn the key to the ON position. when the dash lights have come on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds. (editor's note, hold it more like 30 sec)
6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
7. the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.
8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off.

Default Display OFF

I tried this mod several times and could not get it to work in my 2008 ... until I toggled the display until it was off. Then the mod worked the very next time.

^^ It is the only button in / on the gauge cluster...

ODO is short for odometer... so it just needs to be set to show your mileage..

Keep the instructions handy if you have to do the seat squeak TISB--you'll need to re-do this.

some people, like myself, don't live in a house. we have big inefficient parking garages and when i have a guest to drop off in the guest parking area, i don't want the buzzer going off for the slow ride.

i just did the procedure listed in the first post and it worked. now i can finally put my seatbelt on at my own pace instead of being rushed into it.. that buzzer was annoying as hell.

thanks!

Anyone know?

Not possible, unless you remove the bulb...

You shouldn't be staring at the flashing red light while driving..

AWESOME!!!! I've always hated that damn chime. I had to hold to the reset button for more like a minute though; even 30 secs wasn't enough.

Sure wish I'd joined this forum sooner. ;-)
